Wired News: Saving Democracy With Web 2.0
This wired article barely scratches the surface of this topic and focuses on dot com possibilities and misses the desirable outcome - legislation that forces governments to supply data for the semantic web.
When there is good data (Sir Tim says “serve useful stuff!”), then people will use that data in ways they need (probably to protect themselves from said government), not in ways that some hipster doofus from San Francisco thinks is cool.
