NSW to roll out free WiFi service
NSW to roll out free WiFi service - Wireless & BroadBand - Connectivity: “The NSW Government has announced it plans to install a free wireless broadband network throughout the Sydney CBD and other major centres by early 2008.”
(Via smh.com.au.)
This is from the state government and as such is very thin on details - so much so that the author has to talk about cities that have actually made real efforts in this area.
The project is at the ’seek expressions of interest’ stage and apparently the government is at the ‘release any policy their brains can fart out to ensure more votes by March’ stage.
Also - it is likely to be supported by advertising.
Why do I get the feeling that this means some sort of crappy windows software?
